HIGH SCHOOLS TO HOLD SPRING PLANT SALES

The horticulture department at all three FCPS high schools are gearing up for their annual spring plant sales; proceeds from the sales benefit the schools’ horticulture departments. The public is invited to attend the plant sales where vegetables, herbs, annuals, perennials, decorative planters and hanging baskets will be available for purchase.   Kettle Run High School  Kettle Run will hold its fifth annual spring plant sale in the school’s greenhouse over a two week period. Dates and hours are as follows:   Monday, April 22 through Thursday, April 25 from 2:45-7 p.m.  Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m.- noon  Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3 from 2:45-7 p.m.  Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m.-noon  For more information on the Kettle Run High School spring plant sale contact Meaghan Brill at 422-7330 or mbrill@fcps1.org

Liberty High School  Liberty will hold its spring plant sale at the school’s horticultural complex on the following days:   Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily  “Things are growing right on schedule, and we are looking forward to a great sale,” said LHS teacher Pam Woodward.  In addition to the annuals, perennials and other items listed above, the LHS sale will include small trees and shrubs including azaleas, hydrangeas, hollies and blueberries. Adult Writing Group
