MATCHING GRANTS

The Fauquier County Department of Economic Development and the Fauquier County Industrial Development Authority have awarded grants to five Fauquier County businesses through the Technology Assistance Matching Grant Program.

The first round of this new grant program awarded five grants, of up to $2,000, to local for‐profit businesses located within the service districts. Businesses submitted applications for technology‐based projects aimed at improving business efficiency and performance with a positive effect on revenues. This round of grants opened on February 16th and closed at COB on April 16th. Grantees received award notifications at the end of June. Funded projects must be completed, per the grant application, within 12 months from award notification. In total, ten qualified applications were received, and grantees chosen represented a variety in business industry, size and years in operation.

The grant program is funded by the Industrial Development Authority and administered by the Fauquier County Department of Economic Development. No taxpayer funds were used to fund this grant program. To view the list of grantees, visit:
